Fishing is all about the hat.

I woke up extremely late today as I had no plans in the morning. I was able to get my much needed sleep. I showered, berus gigi and had lunch. All was good. I then changed into my most dashing outfit and packed some chewing gum, rootbeer, and clean undie. I was set to go on a fishing trip.

Rendezvous was at farhan's house as it was nearest to the fishing site. As usual i was late. Aki, farhan and his neighbour, ghafari were hunting for cacing when i arrived. Worms make good baits. We were all eager to hook some fish but I had to get myself a rod first. I needed to get a cheap rod so we went to a fishing store nearby where they sell fishing equipments. I asked the salesgirl to give me the cheapest rod and so she did. The whole set of rod costed $16.80. Flippin' sweet. After much persuasion, i managed to get the rod at a bargain price of $16. I was not very happy. Why cant indians open fishing store? Teng Lang are so kiam siap. Yes, i had to bold the words. However they dont sell baits at the store so we had to settle with our worms. We were all set.

Setting up the fishing line is not fun. It took me half an hour. And i hooked my own finger. The indon back there in the picture was laughing madly when he saw us. He had a bucket full of fish. Fdsfusdfjndsjkn.

The bait! Worms make good bait. Unfortunately our worms ran out and we had to search for some more around the fishing site. We got desperate when we couldnt find any worms so we caught grasshoppers instead. Grasshoppers dont make good bait =(

When the day has gone by and you havent got any bite, you put on a fake smile and sigh. Poor aki didnt get hooked up. Fishing is all about the hat. When you've got the hat, its a sure catch. Not in this case though.

Catch of the day. Great success. Haha i caught a midget fish. The indon who was laughing at us freaked out when he saw what i had caught and left the fishing site. That ought to show you! We released the fish back into the giant longkang/river. I prefer calling it a river.

After our fifth catch, we decided not to release the fish back into the giant longkang/river as we noticed that all the fish we caught looked alike and were all the same sizes. We were beginning to think that we were catching the same fish over and over. Our theory almost proved to be true when we were not able to get a single bite for over half an hour. But alas, we caught another one. It was half the size of the midget fish we've been catching.

At the end of the day, we caught a grand total of 8 midget fish. Very productive. The group of indon way at the back (indicated by red arrow), though you cant really see, actually got naked and went into the longkang for a dip or were they trying to catch some fish. I do not know.

That is all. No crap from me today.

Love,
Bokh.

ps, to cody, eric and ian fishing is ON on saturday. Bring your baits. You dont want to be catching grasshoppers.
pps, bring crocodile repellents too.
